Lavandula Angustifolia Oil
Description
Characteristics and symbolism of Lavender
Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) is a plant with a rich history that is deeply rooted in ancient traditional medicine. There it is found to have a positive healing and calming effect on the skin. Lavender was also used in ancient Greek and Roman culture. They did this in bath rituals, among other things. The meaning of the name is therefore derived from the Latin 'lavare', which means 'washing'. This refers to the cleansing nature of the plant. Lavender is also often associated with calmness and relaxation and is therefore a symbol of inner peace and serenity.
