Teasel tincture
Dipsacus Fullonum
Description
Product description Teasel tincture
The Latin name is Dipsacus Fullonum. Also known by its English name: Teasel. Xu Duan is the name of the root extract in Chinese Medicine. This means: fix what is broken.
Important for the effectiveness of Teasel tincture is that it is made from fresh roots. That is the case with the Teasel tincture in our webshop.
The fresh root contains a lot of power. The root owes this, among other things, to the bioactive substances bitter substances, iridoids and saponins.
The Teasel is organically grown in the Netherlands and the tincture is prepared with organic alcohol.
Can be used as a supportive, natural product in addition to other therapies.
In our webshop you will also find teasel root juice.
Teastle juice versus Teasel tincture
- Long-term vs. short-term effects: The root tincture often provides slower, more structural support. The carrot juice mixture has a more direct, stimulating effect, and is lighter and milder.
- Phytochemical composition: Tinctures often contain more fat- and alcohol-soluble components. Carrot juice is richer in water-soluble substances.
- Shelf life: A tincture based on macerate in alcohol has a long shelf life. Carrot juice, even with alcohol, has a somewhat shorter shelf life.
- Energetic action: In some traditional systems, such as anthroposophy or Ayurvedic phytotherapy, carrot juice is considered "living", making it beneficial for acute support.
In addition to its powerful root, Teasel has a striking appearance. The long stem, branches, leaves and egg-shaped flowers all contain spines. The flower also contains many small tubular flowers that bloom in July/August. This flowering is remarkable: you see one or two pink rings that, as it were, walk over the egg-shaped flower head.
