The Latin name is Dipsacus Fullonum. Also known by the English name: Teasel. Xu Duan is the name of the root extract in Chinese Medicine. This means: repair what is broken.

The Teasel Root tea is just like the Teasel Tincture made from the root, from organic cultivation. The root owes its power to the bioactive substances bitter substances, iridoids and saponins.

The tea works a little milder than the Tincture. This can therefore be used for hypersensitivity and alcohol intolerance, for example. Although the Tincture has a stronger effect than tea, the tea can also be used for the same purpose. The tea is also suitable as a variation or as a supplement to the Tincture. There is also Teasel tea made from the leaf.

Can be used as a supportive, natural product alongside other therapies.

Plant description
In addition to the powerful root, Teasel has a striking appearance. The long stem, branches, leaves and egg-shaped flowers all contain thorns. The flower also contains many small tubular flowers that bloom in July/August. This bloom is remarkable: you see one or two pink rings that walk over the egg-shaped flower head.

Dosage and use

Usage

1 teaspoon dried Teasel root per cup of tea with water bring to the boil and then let it simmer for 10 minutes on a very low heat. After turning off the heat source let it steep for at least another 10 minutes.

Do not exceed the recommended maximum daily dose.

2nd week 2 cups of Teasel Root Tea per day
3rd week and following weeks 3 cups of Teasel Root Tea per day

In general, the stronger the symptoms, the lower the dose. In case of severe symptoms, a low dose is taken first to prevent a lot of waste products being released at once. Because, in any case, waste products are always released (even at low doses), it is normal to drink a lot of water during the treatment and to also use excretory agents.

The effect of a cup of tea can be intensified over time by adding a small amount of tincture.
