Strengthen your resistance and immune system

Resistance

At Green Vitality we strongly believe in the power of nature when it comes to strengthening our resistance and supporting a healthy immune system. It is important to feed this all year round. Our body has a natural defense mechanism that protects us against harmful external influences. Think of pathogens, toxins and the annual cold around December. Therefore, take good care of your immune system. Then you feel vital and energetic, all year round.

Herbs and plants as natural allies

Herbs and plants have played an important role in various traditional medicines around the world for centuries. They contain a wealth of bioactive substances that can help our body stay healthy and strengthen our immune system. At Green Vitality we have carefully selected powerful herbs and plants. For example, a large number of our herbs are known for their immune-boosting properties.

Did you know

The terms "resistance" and "immune system" are sometimes used interchangeably. Yet they both refer to different aspects of the body's health

Resistance

Resistance often refers to the body's ability to defend itself. The body defends itself every day against pathogens and other harmful external influences.
The term does not only include the immune system's response to these attacks. Other physiological systems that contribute to the protection of the body also fall under resistance.
Consider, for example, the skin barrier, the gastrointestinal tract and the respiratory tract. Do you have strong resistance? Then your body is better able to prevent or fight diseases. Stronger resistance means a more vital body.

Immune system

The immune system is a specific part of your resistance.
It is a complex network of cells, tissues and organs that work together. Together, this network protects the body against infections and diseases. Easy said; the immune system finds harmful pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites and fights them to keep you healthy.
Your immune system consists of two parts.
Part 1; the innate immune system. A rapid and non-specific system that responds to pathogens.
Part 2; the adaptive immune system. This component provides specific and long-term protection after exposure to a specific pathogen.
