The Latin name: Withania somnifera. Ashwaganda is a versatile powerful herb from Ayurveda and has always been used in India to restore the immune system after illness. Today it can be used for Lyme and the co-infections Babesia and Mycoplasma. One of the things that Ashwaganda does is bring more balance to the hormones that are regulated by the adrenal glands.
Safety of Ashwagandha
The safety of Ashwagandha has recently been questioned in various media. Despite this, Ashwagandha is on the positive list of several EU member states and is generally considered safe for use. Although there have been some very rare cases of liver problems occurring while taking Ashwagandha, no scientific link has yet been established between Ashwagandha and liver problems.
