Cat's Claw Tincture
Uncaria Tomentosa
Description
Product Description Cat's Claw Tincture
Latin name: Uncaria Tomentosa. In the Netherlands also known as Cat's Claw. Others also know the plant as Samento.
Cat's Claw is a creeping and climbing plant that grows in the Amazon rainforest in Central and South America. With its thorns, which remind you of cat claws, it knows how to cling to the giant forest trees.
The local Indian population has used the root and the inner bark of the plant for centuries as a natural remedy. The roots contain the most active substances and powers. It is worrying that in large parts of South America irresponsible overexploitation of the plant is taking place. In Peru, for example, the harvesting of roots is therefore prohibited and the bark is harvested instead.
Since the 20th century, this herb has also been highlighted in the West and many scientific studies have been conducted. Cat's Claw is also one of the basic herbs in both the Cowden and Buhner protocols.
